Zoë's big Trip
On Saturday, Zoë and Mommy and Daddy went off to Virginia.
What a big day for the Peanut!
Little Bear came too!

Everybody got to the airport just in time.

Zoë got to take a fun train ride to the end of the terminal...

...and she got to go on the travelator too!

(Yes, travelator is a real word.)
Zoë got the boarding passes ready...

...and then we had to wait a bit...

...but soon we were flying up in the air!

Zoë got to fly for free!

The sky was beautiful.

Maybe this person was making a blog entry about the cute baby on her flight:

Mommy and Daddy were a little nervous, but Zoë is a great traveler.

Here she is nursing.

(Can you find Little Bear in the picture?)
Soon we were landing...

Zoë and Little Bear got a special "First Flight" certificate!

She met Shannon the flight attendant...

...and got to go in the cockpit!

(Daddy looks pretty excited to be in the cockpit too!)
Look at all the controls!

Zoë was a trooper!

The airport wasn't very crowded when we landed.

The first big event was Zoë meeting her uncle Marc for the first time. Here is a picture of the exact moment:

Daddy didn't quite zoom in fast enough. Here is the next exact moment:

Aunt Sabra was there too; she said Zoë had grown a lot!

On Sunday, Zoë and Mommy and Daddy and Uncle Marc and Omi Stella and Opa Mike ate delicious Thai food!

Zoë likes Uncle Marc!

She is so interested in things these days...

...like Mommy's glasses!

Don't poke the baby's eye out!
A cup of tea! A spoon!

Here is a cute baby that Zoë met at the restaurant:

(She has a little bear too!)
Daddy loves his little girl. Also, he took a picture of the restaurant parking lot:

We stayed at a nice hotel in "Crystal City," which is a boring Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. that just has a lot of hotels in it. Here are some pictures from the window:

Here is a picture of Rosie, Zoë, and a nice porter at the hotel. His name is Emmanuel. He has a one-year-old daughter named Genesis and makes African bead jewelry.

Grand-Pat took the train down from New Jersey on Monday! He and Zoë were happy to see each other!

Zoë was the center of attention...

...except maybe when these pictures were taken:

Daddy was at a conference all day, but skipped out for lunch.

That night we went out to a Lebanese restaurant.

The menu was a little odd, but the food was good.

(Too bad they didn't go to Editorial Emergency, which has a funny "not our clients" section. Hi Julia! Hi Sime!)
Grandpat had brought a present for Zoë from Ant Lisa: a fun book!
Zoë liked it a lot.

What's going on here?

The plan was to go off to visit Zoë's cousins Marek and Kalena—and Aunt Anne and Uncle Jeff, but Daddy and Mommy were slowpokes on Monday, and then Kalena got a cold on Tuesday. Hi Marek! Hi Kalena! We're sorry we missed you!
On Tuesday, Zoë spent a lot of time with Opa. Aren't these pictures sweet?

...and Daddy set up the new computer so Opa, Omi, and Marc can see "Hello Zoë!" at home! Can you tell which is the new one?

We flew home on Wednesday, but were too tired to take any more pictures.
Little Bear says "Wow! That was fun!"

P.S. Nice last-minute rally on the caption contest! It's tie for first place! Prizes for all!
