Boo!

Yesterday seemed like a good day to take a drive in the country and visit some thrift stores! (Sometimes a drive in the country helps Peanut take a nap.)

Fall colors were blooming in the back yard…


…and all along the streets.


Zoë fell asleep in the back seat.


Isn’t she a little sweetie when she’s sleeping?


We almost got lost.


But a few minutes later, we found a thrift store—so it must have been fate!

Back in town, we stopped at our favorite thrift store. Look what Zoë found!

Mommy and Daddy found some cool Halloween decorations!

After that, we stopped at the deli for a sandwich. Here’s Solomon; he let us sample some 30-year-old balsamic vinegar! Yum!


Then it was time for Peanut to go to bed.


Later, we put out the decorations. Scary!

Friends and Family

Do you remember Happy the dog?

Well, last week, Happy’s people--Nana, Mike, and Miran--invited us over for dinner and some playtime.


Isn’t Miran a cutie? (Her name is pronounced "MEER-ahn.")



There’s Happy! Did you see that Miran has a big duck too?


Miran and Zoë had a lot to do!

Anyway, this past weekend we flew to Virginia to visit Aunt Sabra, Uncle Mark, Omi, and Opa—but then we found out that a whole mess o’ Zoë’s cousins, aunts and uncles were over at Anne and Jeff's house (which is a stone's throw from Opa and Omi's)—plus Nanna and Grandpat!

Everyone was excited to meet little Zoë!


That’s Kalena, Aunt Agnes, Mommy, Crosby, Nanna, Harriet, and a bit of Aunt Anne’s arm. You can’t see Kalena and Crosby very well in this picture because everyone is so excited and moving about and Harriet, who just got adopted from the dog shelter a month or two ago, is trying to give Zoë a big kiss again.

Crosby went on the slide too. She is a little bit bigger than Zoë.

Later, Marek and Daddy went down to the basement to look at "Hello Zoë!"


Marek left a lot of comments! (Can you find them all?) Daddy showed him how to set up his own blog; it is called "The World With Out One"! Please visit it and leave comments!

Later, Crosby and Kalena set up a tea party!


…also, Crosby wrote a little story about Daddy.

On Saturday, Uncle Marc, Aunt Sabra, Omi, and Opa came over to Mommy & Daddy’s hotel for breakfast
