Hello Kit!

WTF?

We wanted to say thanks for all the comments from friends, family, colleagues, and comrades! We love hearing from everybody (and so does Zoë)!

We are staying up a little late tonight.

Rosie is annoyed because Jon is trying to take her picture while she’s reading the newspaper:

Not really!

We are eating some grapes:

By the way, what’s up with this?

Not Zero!

Last Friday, Alyssa P came over after work!

Peanut had some peas!

Have you seen the new Zoë-carrier?

Zoë likes it!

It's nice for sleeping, too…

The happening place to be last weekend was definitely the water-table at Andres's birthday party!

That's Andres on the left, with Autumn and little Zoë.

Andres was turning 1!

(When Jon was a kid, his dad would say "We were really glad when you turned one; before that, if people asked how old you were, we had to say 'zero.'" – the last word pronounced with a sad face.)

Robbie was there!

So was Maia!

Peanut made some friends…

…and rode on a kind of motorcycle/big-wheel that converts into a rocket hobby-horse rocker.

Here is a cute picture of Zoë and Rosie wearing almost the same outfit:

It was a little rainy, but then the sun came out…

…just in time to put up the piñata!

Andres went first.

That's him mom Julie who's helping.

Some of the other little ones took turns:

Holly and Maia! Zoë and Rosie!

Then the bigger kids went.

(See Alex over on the right? That's Andres's daddy making it hard to hit the piñata by swinging it back and forth and pulling it up and down!)

This kid got some good coaching from dad…

Candy! Candy! Candy!

Happy birthday, Andres!

A Special Visit

Zoë had special visit last weekend from Ant Lisa, Nanna, and Grandpat.

In the middle of the week, she’d been up late getting some new teeth in. Did you know she had two teeth on the bottom? Now she has two little ones coming in on the top!

Here are some pictures of Mommy and Zoë playing with a little rabbit thingy that holds a plastic ice cube that makes it not hurt so much:

Ant Lisa came on Thursday, and everyone was very happy.

Ant Lisa took most of the pictures on Friday and Saturday, so she isn’t in any of the pictures until later.

On Saturday morning, we went to the Jefferson Market. Ant Lisa had brought Zoë a little German mousie:

Zoë was so happy!

Fergus barked at some nice dogs, but then he settled down.

Later, we went garage-sale-ing. Zoë met a shy cockatiel and a dog named Zoey!

On Saturday, Nanna and Grandpat showed up!

There’s another garage sale going on across the street in this picture. Our neighbors Susan and Emily are moving away.

Zoë loves her Grandpat!

(Do you see that nice Kangaroo with her little joey in the background? Zoë found that at Susan and Emily's garage sale!)

On Sunday, we all went out for brunch.

Zoë is a big girl and sits in a high-chair now!

…except when she wants to sit with Daddy.

Nanna thought something was really funny!

It was the eggs Florentine!

Daddy made some silly faces with Nanna’s hat on.

Who’s that?

It’s Ant Lisa!

Zoë likes the hat too!

Ant Lisa can be a little silly.

Later in the day, Zoë got to play with everyone!

It’s nice to sit in Grandpat’s lap!

Zoë loves her Nanna!

Here is a picture of Nanna throwing Zoë across the room to Ant Lisa:

Zoë loves Ant Lisa!

In the afternoon, Ant Lisa, Nanna, Grandpat, and Daddy went on a big excursion. Do you know what they got?

A kiddie pool!

Nanna was right at home by the pool.

Zoë was a little uncertain about the water at first…

…but that didn’t last too long.

On Monday, Daddy had to go to work, but everyone else went to the park to go on the swings!

Zoë likes the swings too!

Did we mention that Ant Lisa can be a little silly?

Also, the day-lilies are blooming.
