Let's Pretend it didn't Snow this Weekend

We went to the park!

Rosie kept looking down when Jon was trying to take a picture. It was pretty funny because it kept happening.

It was such a beautiful day.

Rosie was happy.

So was Fergus!

Spring is here to stay!

The light gets all funny sometimes.

Zoë is eating her first solid food: mostly books and newspapers.

She is a happy girl!

Mommy made a little play area with her favorite Haba toys.

Zoë and Fergus are playing with each other more—although Zoë sometimes mixes up "petting" and "pinching."

Zoë and Fergus like visitors! Here they are with Nancy and—making her first "Hello Zoë!" appearance—Heather!

Heather is a grad student and just got elected president of her union!

Zoë had a good time!

Also, she had her first baby-sitter! It's Ian! Whooo!

...and a special treat this week: a fun video of Zoë playing "airplane" with Mommy and Daddy. (This is a 28 MB .wav file, so if you're one of those old-timers still using a dial-up connection on that old Zenith laptop with the bakelite knobs, you can admire these stills while you wait an hour for the video to download.)

3. Angela likes Thai food!

4. Marcy is Zoë's friend!

5. Zoë likes to go to the union office to help with a big mailing!

Martian Musings

Mommy and Daddy made a shopping list!

Do you like shopping lists? Click here!

Peanut was excited to go to the supermarket!

Look at all the nice fruit!

Daddy tried to take another funny picture of Zoë with a bunch of asparagus, but it came out weird:

Zoë looks like a scary Martian!

If we were at a supermarket on Mars, maybe the fruit would look like this:

What would the shopping cart look like?

Like this, maybe!

Click on the picture for a surprise!

Thanks to Grandpat for the links!

Bonjour Zoë!

Bonjour! Je suis Jacques de la Pine; zat is French for "I am Jacques who is a fluffy bunny and I am pleased to meet you!"

Lisa ze aunt of Zoë has sent les petits bon bons and beans of jelly for Easter!

I am happy to be your guide today for "Bonjour Zoë!" because, you know, I am ze friend of ze Easter Bunny! Did you know zat he is French? (Did you know zat in Australia, ze Easter Bunny is not a bunny at all? He is ze Easter Bilby!)

Here in America, ze Easter tradition is zat everybody is taking photos of ze other!

Friday, ze friend of Zoë Nancy came to take photos of Jon and Rosie and Zoë and Fergus – so zen Jon is taking a photo of Nancy taking a photo!

If you are wanting more pictures, you must to see the great web log of Nancy!

I do not think zat Nancy is French, but perhaps -- bien sûr -- she is from Nancy!) She is -- how do you say? -- une syndicaliste.

But at ze same time zat Nancy is taking a photo of Jon taking a photo, Jon is taking a photo of Nancy taking a photo of him taking ze photo!

Zut!

And zen zere appears Alyssa P, who also is French:

Of her Fergus is a great friend!

Zoë enjoyed to play with Rosie:

..but do you know what else?

Here it is ze springtime!

...and what else?

Zoë is a reader of ze newspaper!

She is a très serious little girl!

Zat bib has been given by Zoë's friend Mark because Zoë is a little wobbly.

Ha! Je fait un petit bon mot en Englais!

La classe ouvrière doit passer à l'offensive!

Pour le contrôle ouvrier des entreprises!

...and what else?

Everyone is going to ze store of comic books!

Zat is Gandalf, who is only in a story. He is not like ze Easter Bunny, of whom I show this photo to show zat he is real!

He is très fashionable and plays ze piano!
