Christmas, Part III (and Hanukah too)
After Christmas in New Jersey and our visit with Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Skip, we headed south to Omi and Opa’s house in Virginia.
Omi spends a lot of time praying.

No, not really!

That’s Baileys, Fergus’s cousin!
Do you think Baileys likes grapefruit?

Zoë likes sweet potato!

We stayed down the street at some neighbors’ house. They were away so we stood on their furniture…

…and played chase on the stairs!

Do you know who was there? Tim & Trisha!

Trisha knows all about yellow baboons!

Tara came too!

Here’s Tara with Uncle Marc!

Look! Tara’s taking a nap!

Hello Zoë!

Zoë got a new book!

It was fun to have everyone together.

A few days later, we went to a Hanukah party!

The rabbi told us all to fight for freedom and equality everywhere.

The party was at an assisted living community where Ralph lives.

Ralph’s an old friend of Oma and Opi’s.

Zoë got to see her cousin Raisa!

A nice dog named Boxer lives there.

Zoë spent a lot of time going up and down a big staircase.

The rest of us ate latkes.

Zoë worked on her walking…

…had fun with Opa…

…and got a ride from Daddy.

Boxer got to clean up after everyone went home.

Zoë likes zucchini!

Here she’s making her sign-language sign for “more!”

Also, she has a belly-button!

Omi got Zoë some little bears who live in a ball.

They are fun to play with!

The bears are each a different color and they each have a little song:

Eh!
A cardboard box is fun.

What a little peanut!

Do you know what else is fun?

Going to the supermarket on New Year’s Eve!

(Sheepy came too!)

Then it was time to go home.

Bye Opa! Bye Omi!

Bye bye!

Uncle Marc gave us a ride to the airport.

Zoë met a little girl named Avery there.

Daddy took some pictures of the airplanes before we left.

My name is Yellow Bear!
Yellow Bear, Yellow Bear.
I spy some yellow there!
